Braced
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Braced, a workout tracking service with social features operated by Airat Akhmadullin, an independent developer. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Braced, you agree to these Terms.
Last updated: July 19, 20261. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use an online service without parental authorization, that higher age applies. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Braced only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for activity through your account.
Choose a username that you have the right to use. Do not impersonate another person or organization, or pick a username intended to mislead others about who you are.
2. What Braced provides
Braced lets you plan and record workouts, create custom exercises and templates, and review your training history and statistics. Braced also includes social features: a profile, user search, following, a feed of workouts from people you follow, likes, and comments. It may also provide workout templates created by Braced, subscription features, and AI-generated training insights.
You control who sees your content through your profile visibility setting and the visibility setting on each workout. New workouts default to a visibility of Everyone, so review these settings if you do not want a workout to be broadly visible. The Privacy Policy explains how the settings work. Features may change as the service develops. We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law and any access you have already paid for.
3. Fitness, health, and AI disclaimer
Braced is a record-keeping and informational tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or emergency services. Exercises, statistics, templates, and AI-generated insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for you.
You are responsible for deciding whether an activity, movement, weight, or training plan is safe for you. Consult a qualified medical or fitness professional before starting or changing a program, especially if you have an injury, health condition, or concerning symptoms. Stop exercising and seek appropriate help if you experience pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty, or other warning signs.
Content posted by other users, including workouts, photos, and comments, is their content and not advice from Braced. Do not rely on it as instruction, and apply the same caution to anything you see in the feed.
4. Braced Pro subscriptions
Braced may offer auto-renewing Braced Pro subscriptions. Paid features may include premium workout templates, advanced statistics, and AI training insights. The store purchase screen shows the price, currency, billing period, and any trial or promotional terms before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to the app-store account you use to confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal under the rules and timing shown by the applicable store.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your app-store account settings. Deleting Braced or your Braced account does not cancel a store subscription.
- Refunds, payment methods, taxes, and billing disputes are handled by the store that processed the purchase, subject to applicable law.
- You may use Restore Purchases to restore eligible access associated with the same store account.
Subscription access may take a short time to update after a purchase, renewal, refund, or cancellation. If a payment is reversed or the subscription expires, paid features may be disabled while your account and data remain available under these Terms.
5. Social features and other users
When you follow someone, like a workout, or write a comment, that activity is visible to other people who can see the content involved. Anyone who can see a workout can see the list of people who liked it and every comment on it, together with each person's username and profile picture.
Treat other users with respect. You are responsible for what you post, and for making sure you have the right to post it. Do not post anything about another person, including photographs of them, without their permission.
Braced does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for content posted by other users. If you encounter content or behavior that concerns you, you can report it, block the person, unfollow them, remove them as a follower, delete comments left on your own workouts, or set your profile to Private or Hidden.
Blocking is mutual and immediate: neither of you will see the other's profile or workouts, and any follows between you are removed in both directions. The person is not told that you blocked them. You can unblock from Settings, which restores visibility but not the follows.
Deleting a comment or unliking a workout stops it from being displayed. As explained in the Privacy Policy, the underlying record is retained on our servers until you delete your account.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload. You give Braced a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical delivery, and display that content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service. Where you choose to share content, that license includes displaying it to the other users you have chosen to share it with, and to Braced systems that deliver it to them. Braced does not use your content for advertising and does not use it to train AI models.
This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups, records retained to synchronize deletions across your devices, and information that must be retained for legitimate legal, security, or transaction purposes.
You must have the necessary rights to content you upload. Do not upload unlawful material, malware, personal information about another person without permission, or content that infringes another person's rights.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Braced unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person.
- Post content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, violent, or that depicts or promotes self-harm or disordered eating.
- Post, promote, or offer for sale illegal substances, including doping products.
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate another person, or encourage others to do so.
- Post hate speech or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or a similar characteristic.
- Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Post another person's private or identifying information, or photographs of them, without their permission.
- Send unsolicited promotional content, spam, or repeated unwanted contact to other users.
- Attempt to access another account or non-public systems without authorization.
- Interfere with the service, bypass security, privacy, or subscription controls, distribute malware, or overload infrastructure.
- Copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Braced except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Scrape or systematically extract service data, including other users' profiles or workouts, or use Braced content to train a model, without written permission.
Our Community Guidelines, available in the app, describe these rules in plain language and form part of these Terms.
8. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement
Images you upload are checked automatically before they are stored, and an image that appears to break our Community Guidelines is refused. Apart from that automated check, Braced does not review or monitor everything users post before it appears.
You can report a workout or an account from its menu and choose a reason. Reports are anonymous to the person reported. Reporting sends the content to us for review; it does not automatically remove or hide it. If you want to stop seeing someone straight away, block them.
We review reports we receive and may remove content, remove an uploaded image, limit a feature, or suspend or terminate an account. We aim to act proportionately, considering how serious the problem is and whether it has happened before. We may act without a report if we become aware of a violation another way, and we may decline to act on a report we consider unfounded.
Content that sexualizes or endangers minors results in removal, action against the account, and a report to the relevant authorities as required by law.
Do not misuse the reporting tool. Submitting reports in bad faith, or to harass someone, is itself a violation of these Terms. If you believe we have made a mistake about your content or your account, contact us at the address in section 15 and we will look at it again.
9. Braced intellectual property
Braced, its software, design, branding, and developer-provided content are owned by the operator or applicable licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.
10. Third-party services and app stores
Braced depends on services supplied by companies including Apple, Google, Amazon Web Services, RevenueCat, Expo, and OpenAI. Their separate terms and policies may apply to services they provide, such as authentication, purchases, cloud hosting, notification delivery, and AI processing. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
On Apple platforms, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your license to use Braced unless a custom license agreement is provided through App Store Connect. Apple is not responsible for providing Braced support.
11. Availability, data, and updates
We aim to keep Braced available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, network failures, provider outages, security events, or legal requirements may interrupt access. Keep an independent copy of information that is critical to you. You may need to install updates to continue using the service safely.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Braced and delete your account at any time. Account deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your Braced data as described in the Privacy Policy, cannot be undone, and does not cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google. We may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, when reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated violation of these Terms, a risk to other users, a security risk, non-payment, unlawful activity, or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, remain effective.
13. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Braced is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee fitness outcomes, injury prevention, AI accuracy, the conduct of other users, or permanent preservation of data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, or for the acts, content, or omissions of other users. Total liability arising from Braced will not exceed the amount you paid for Braced during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit your mandatory consumer rights.
14. Disputes and mandatory rights
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory protections you have under the laws of your country or state of residence. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Any unresolved dispute may be brought before a court or authority that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Braced changes. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes when required. Changes apply from their stated effective date; where the law requires additional consent, we will request it.
Questions about these Terms, or concerns about content or conduct on Braced, can be sent to Airat Akhmadullin, operator of Braced, at support@getbraced.app.
